"Gouged"? If oil is $100/barrel and there are 42 gallons of liquid in an barrel, then the rough cost for a gallon of oil is over $2.30. Add in distilling costs, distribution, wholesale and retail costs PLUS a ton of federal, state, county and/or city taxes then getting it for roughly $3.50/gallon is a bargain. I wish half the taxes were removed and Obammie would remove his hard-headed, wacko ideas about fossil fuels. Then and only then could we get back to $2.00/gallon pricing.
