Mon Power had 40 of delaying a clean up of dirty and toxic emissions from the three and chose to do nothing. NH and New England residents thank Mon Power for finally closing these belchers of toxins and generators of acid rain that ruin the air we breath. Not to mention the gift of mercury in our fish! Farewell and good riddance

I would like to know how the EPA figures the number of people affected by air pollution. Is it made up just like the dollar value assigned to a human life they used that is far above the numbers used by other government agencies?

Bend over and prepare for your power bill to go up.
The Solar thing just got a little more interesting: The Tonopah Solar company in Harry Reid's Nevada is getting a $737 million loan from Obama's DOE. The project will produce a 110 megawatt power system and employ 45 permanent workers. That's costing us just $16 million per job. One of the investment partners in this endeavor is Pacific Corporate Group (PCG). The PCG executive director is Ron Pelosi, who is the brother to Nancy's husband. Just move along folks. Nuthin' goin' on here.
Bend over peasants

Should convert it to use algae-based bio-fuels.

Well heck...they already got the ground saturated with this coal dust and all it's known toxins...just let 'em go ahead and make some more of that cheap electricity a few more years. Taxpayers will wind up having to pay for the cleanup anyway. I hear the people of West Virginia are poor up around St Mary's anyway. Give 'em a break. And those 105 workers too. Just sayin'.....

And where is the power, that this plant produced, be made? The demand for electricity is NOT dropping in this country!
The EPA again strikes, and we all suffer.
